The Purest Form Of Philanthropy

The Purest Form Of Philanthropy

The purest form of philanthropy

In its purest form, philanthropy requires aninnovative thinking, disruptive mindset, and a philosophy driven by entrepreneurial insights and creative.

Philanthropy must not be seen as a profession. We are aware of the fact that philanthropists are professionals but we are taking the second aspect of the same. We are talking about the will to gain profit through philanthropy.

Aman Mehndiratta is an entrepreneur, investor and simultaneously working as a philanthropist. He has the idea of this gradual take and gives relationship from the society. If he earns from his other professions then he gives it back to the society by practicing philanthropy.

Social work, philanthropy or altruism and all these kind of practices must not be included in occupation. Here is the reason-because first of all, philanthropy is considered as a nonprofit practice, where you only give, without expecting the returns.

Second, it is related to the emptions, empathy, and having a deep love towards the humankind,

Did you ever imagine ‘love’ being professionalized??

The answer is obviously- ‘A big No’

So exactly, the philanthropy in its purest form is a passion to give back, not a medium to take profit. Although it has been said that being a social worker and philanthropist is itself a profession but, what would be the meaning of doing the work of giving back, if you are earning through it?

Yes, this cannot be denied that there are many of the businessmen, celebrities and other professionals who are practicing philanthropy side by side so that their take and give relationship with the society is getting stronger as  Aman Mehndiratta’s.

Charity Vs Philanthropy

There is a big debate or we can say a big misconception that philanthropy and charity both are the same. But, let us make it very clear that, philanthropy or altruism and charity have a big difference.

Charity is giving and philanthropy is doing

Taking these two in concern, we will give emphasis on the major difference between both.

Charity gives temporary relief from the problem whereas by doing philanthropy, the actual cause of problem could be found and rooted out. That is why Aman Mehndiratta prefers philanthropy over charity.

Charity is a short-term thing, mainly emotional and strikes an immediate response. It is primarily focusedon rescue and relief.

Talking about philanthropy, then it is for much more long-term, it is more strategic and basically focused on rebuilding

According to Aman, there is a charity, which is good, and then there is a problem-solving charity, which is called philanthropy.

To conclude, we can say that philanthropy is the preferred method because it seeks to help and simultaneously searches for the root of the problem and looks for solutions.

Charity is great to offer food, shelter, and clothing to someone in need. But how much better would it be to provide solutions to the problems and root them out permanently.

John Rockefeller,a man known for his philanthropic actions had said the words which is very necessary to be kept in mind that, “The best philanthropy is constantly in search of the finalities—a search for a cause, an attempt to cure evils at their source.
